Our highest strength Bilberry Extract, containing ten times more standardised extract, equivalent to 5,000mg whole fruit, as opposed to our lower strength Bilberry Extract.

Bilberry Extract has been used for many years to improve eyesight. It is thought that the flavonoid  ‘anthocyanoside’ which is abundant in Bilberries, helps to improve blood flow and the delivery of oxygen to the eyes . Anthocyanoside is also thought to regenerate Rhodopsin, the purple pigment in the retina that is required for good night vision.

Bilberry extract has also been shown to help with other eye conditions such as cataracts and degenerative retinal conditions such as age related macular degeneration.

Bilberry is a small deciduous shrub that grows throughout the temperate and subarctic regions of the world. The shrub is part of the same family as the Blueberry, Blackberry and Grape. Bilberry Extract has been used for many years to improve eyesight.
